CRecTech and 3Y Energy Sign MOU to Jointly Advance Bio-Methanol as a Low-Carbon Marine Fuel

On June 27, 2025, CRecTech and 3Y Energy signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on advancing bio-methanol as a low-carbon marine fuel. 3Y Energy, a company focused on sustainable energy solutions for the maritime sector, will work with CRecTech to explore the integration of green methanol into marine fuel supply chains.

The MOU outlines plans for joint feasibility studies, technology validation, and market development activities aimed at establishing a reliable supply of bio-methanol for shipping operators in the Asia-Pacific region. Both companies recognize that the maritime industry’s transition to cleaner fuels requires coordinated action across the value chain, from production to distribution to end-use.

This partnership with 3Y Energy complements CRecTech’s broader strategy of building an ecosystem of partners spanning feedstock suppliers, technology integrators, and fuel distributors to enable large-scale green methanol adoption in shipping.
